Restart

Before I continue my (much delayed) chronological sequence accounting the tales on the road through the Tibetan Autonomous Region (TAR), I have to pause to tell you something else:

I have arrived in the US of A.

Now before you go thinking that this event isn’t super interesting, there’s more!

There’s a movie called Groundhog Day in which a man (Bill Murray) relives a certain day of his life. Cool right? Of course I’m sure we can all accept the fact that there are repercussions in such a reality, but it only exists in fantasy so no worries!

Right?

I will always remember January 18, 2016 as the day I lived twice. This morning at 6:30 I was walking from my hostel to catch the airport shuttle in Chengdu. Sixteen hours later, again at 6:30 in the morning, my plane descended over the flowing river of headlights in San Francisco, California. Thankfully,I haven’t encountered any severe consequences as a result, other than being tired.

That said…

Same date. Same time.

Two sunrises, two continents, one day.

One ending, on beginning.

Until next time!

~A
